Introduction
Pyridoxine tripalmitate is a B6 derivative of the vitamin, which retains the activity and corresponding effects of vitamin B6 intact. For example, it regulates sebum vitality, normalizes protein and amino acid metabolism in the skin, prevents skin roughness, acne and sunburn, can increase skin mucous membrane metabolism, and is effective against dermatitis, eczema and acne. Like VB5, VB6 can increase the content of hyaluronic acid in the epidermis, which has anti-aging effect on the skin.
Characteristic advantages
Pyridoxine Tripalmitate vs. Vitamin B6
Pyridoxine tri-palmitate is a combination of three palmitates on top of the basic structure of VB6, which changes the original water-soluble properties into ester- and oil-soluble properties, and brings improved absorption and stability.
Pyridoxine tri-palmitate – better stability, pro-ester and pro-skin, better absorption.
Efficacy features
Mechanism of action
It is used for scalp care to effectively control oil and reduce dandruff production. One of the prominent functions of vitamin B6 is its effect on hair. When vitamin B6 is deficient, the most prominent skin problem is seborrheic dermatitis, which tends to cause hair loss.
In addition, vitamin B6 plays a decisive role in the production of hair by hair mother cells through sulfur-containing amino acids. If vitamin B6 is lacking, the hair growth ability of new hair mother cells is hindered, and the hair in the growth period will have a shorter life span and fall out due to seborrheic dermatitis.
Cosmetic ingredients have a wide range of applications in the formulation of various cosmetic products. Here are some common applications of cosmetic ingredients:
Ingredients like humectants (such as glycerin and hyaluronic acid), emollients (such as oils and butters), and occlusives (such as petrolatum and beeswax) are used to hydrate and moisturize the skin, lips, and hair.
Surfactants, such as sodium lauryl sulfate and cocamidopropyl betaine, are used in cleansers, shampoos, and body washes to remove dirt, oil, and other impurities from the skin and hair.
Ingredients like retinol, peptides, antioxidants (such as vitamins C and E), and hyaluronic acid are commonly used in anti-aging products to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, improve skin texture, and promote a youthful complexion.
UV filters, such as zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, are used in sunscreens and other sun protection products to protect the skin from harmful UV rays and prevent sunburn and photoaging.
Ingredients like hydroquinone, kojic acid, and arbutin are used in products targeted at reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation and promoting a more even skin tone.
Ingredients like benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and tea tree oil are commonly used in products designed to treat and prevent acne by reducing oiliness, exfoliating dead skin cells, and fighting acne-causing bacteria.
Cosmetic ingredients like conditioning agents (such as silicones and quaternary ammonium compounds), proteins, vitamins, and plant extracts are used in shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, and styling products to nourish, repair, and enhance the appearance of the hair.
Fragrance ingredients, both natural and synthetic, are used to add pleasant scents to cosmetic products, including perfumes, body lotions, and body washes.
Pigments, dyes, and micas are used in makeup products such as foundations, lipsticks, eyeshadows, and blushes to provide color and enhance the overall appearance.
Ingredients like parabens, phenoxyethanol, and benzyl alcohol are used to prevent microbial growth and extend the shelf life of cosmetic products, ensuring their safety and efficacy.
It’s important to note that the specific ingredients used and their concentrations can vary depending on the type of cosmetic product and its intended purpose. Additionally, regulations and safety guidelines dictate the permissible use and maximum concentration of certain ingredients in cosmetics.
